Historical location

The Stober family continues the inventive and social tradition on the historical estate of the Borsigs, always committed to the common good. The father of German mobility was Europe's largest railway and locomotive manufacturer and built today's Stober estate next to the manor house as an agricultural model company to supply its Berlin works canteens.

Since 2000, the concept of sustainability has not just been a vision, but a solid corporate orientation. From a ruin with over 150 years of sustainability history, the Stober estate was created with passion, commitment and total financing of € 18.5 million, which is today a flagship project of sustainability throughout Europe. The topic of sustainability is not an “add-on” but an integral part of everything we do.

This comprehensive approach has already received several awards throughout Germany and Europe and is certified annually.
Landgut Stober is already taking the next step after sustainability, namely transparency - the disclosure of all production processes: Sustainability in practice plus transparency automatically leads to the questions: What does the company contribute to the common good? What does the company contribute to the well-being of the region and society? People can find answers to these questions at the Stober estate.

The climate-positive Stober estate, harmoniously embedded in nature and directly on the lake, has successfully passed the SUSTAINABLE MEETINGS BERLIN audit in the hotel sector and was rated as with an impressive result of 91% LEADER certified. This independent and transparent audit, which is based on internationally recognized frameworks and carries the coveted “GSTC recognized” seal, has been recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

This is not only further evidence of our sustainable practices, but also a decision-making aid for our guests and customers who consciously choose the Landgut Stober. With 5,000 square meters of historic event space, 30 meeting salons and 300 hotel rooms, our property offers the perfect setting for your sustainable events and relaxing stays. Lodging house

The lodging house, built in 1875, in which the members of the Kreisau district also stayed, has a stucco facade and many historical elements. It offers 23 elegant double rooms and three suites. On the lake side you have a wonderful view of the Groß Behnitzer See and Brandenburg's oldest plane trees.

Organic hotel

Our organic hotel, with 105 double rooms, was built in 2012 on the foundations of a former large barn as one of the most sustainable hotels in Europe. It is the first organic certified hotel in Brandenburg. Many of the products used are Fairtrade certified.

Lodging house

Enjoy the most beautiful time of the year carefree and relaxed ...

my family and I would like to thank you very much for your hospitality - this is the only way to enjoy the best time of the year carefree and relaxed!

The food was always freshly prepared and delicious, there was always something for the little ones too. The suite we booked was always clean, the space was more than generous and attractively furnished - even if we preferred to use our time together outside in the park, for bike tours and small trips to Potsdam. We'll be back next year!

Dear Landgut team,

We thank you for the excellent time that we were allowed to spend with you on the estate. We are incredibly happy to have decided to take a family vacation with you at short notice: the interaction was easy and relaxed, the colleagues at reception always had a friendly word on their lips and the cuisine on offer was excellent! Dear Getto-Stober family, dear Landgut Stober team,

We were overwhelmed by your extraordinary estate - simply something very special and unmistakable! Of course we knew the pictures from the website, but it's even nicer on site and you can literally feel the spirit of history. We slept in a chic room with a view of the lake - a dream to wake up every morning. At breakfast, nothing was left to be desired and we could spend the days on hiking excursions - just let our soul dangle in nature. Just lovely! We will definitely be staying with you again!
